Clever akafen - low energy lamps and LED lamps

Within the frame of the campaign Clever akafen" low energy and durable lamps are promoted:

Low energy lamps: They keep on working. Some low energy lamps seem to be everlasting and even after 19 000 hours of uninterrupted burning they still keep on working. Given this lifetime, the purchase of a low energy lamp is absolutely recommendable. In comparison: normal light bulbs normally give up after 1 000 hours. Furthermore low energy lamps use up to 80% less electricity.

LED lamps: Low electricity consumption, minimal heat production and a lifetime of up to 35 000 hours, these are the positive aspects of LED lamps. If the first LED lamps were equipped with several light diodes, the new products are called power LEDs that can be used for basic lighting. Low energy and LED lamps are available with a screw base (E 14 or E27) or push base (i.e. GU 10) for 12 or 230 Volt.

IRC-halogen lamps: These are halogen lamps, which due their special coating have a low energy consumption and longer lifetime than normal halogen lamps. They come in bulbs or for special use (spots, beamer...).

Also try and use energy from renewable resources.

The following table contains the time line for the elimination of classic light bulbs.
