The learning outcome of this sequence is that the pupils gain an understanding of the concept of upcycling. In addition, the pupils should be aware of the benefits of upcyclingfrom an economic, ecological and social perspective, or in other words, they should recognise that upcycling is more sustainable than the purchase of new items.

The goal of this sequence is that the pupils learn to view their waste not as rubbish, but as reusable materials. A further objective is to use upcycling in schools to encourage creative ideas among the students.
